by the seeds that you sow! Just harvested these includes: carrots, beetroot, potatoes, parsnips, celery, kohl rabi, celeriac , kale – and we currently have eggs! Spent half an hour last night putting new chickens into their hut which they had decided to sleep under instead of in! Mr Fox would have had a feast!
Our chickens are now busy investigating their new home – they will be getting some new mates this weekend….
New chicken hut is now in place ready for chickens to move in tomorrow – then new additions arriving at weekend. So hopefully we can meet demand for our farm fresh eggs!

We use our chickens to clear the field so we can re-sow it with a special grass paddock mix of grasses and wild flowers which will be ideal for keeping our chickens on. We have made a scarecrow to keep the birds off the seed
